I’ve had my 130 gallon aquarium for like 2 months and I have only introduced 2 clownfish and a Bicolor Blenny.

Some days ago I noticed some little snails in the tank and I think they are Cerith so they are good.

But today I saw this thing and I don’t have idea what it is.. help! IMG_5033.jpeg

What fish do you have?

The animal has what appears to be a shell on its back. Could be stomatella or elephant snail. But, it's missing antennas. So, if you have certain wrasse, that could explain the "missing" part. If not... I'm truly baffled.

Seems to be grazing for algae.

Can't really tell myself. Whatever it is, don't worry. You are only a couple months in. You will find all kinds of critters showing up. Most are harmless, some are good, some are bad, but only a few are down right evil.

Surprisingly hard to say for sure from the pics and vid, but I'm thinking it's probably a bubble snail (Cephalaspidean) of some kind - the ones I know of offhand which may (at least superficially) resemble this are Haminoeoidean Bubble Snails (Haloa and Haminoea species specifically) and Bulloidean Bubble Snails (Bulla species specifically). I wouldn't be surprised if more genera from the superfamilies looked similar as well, but I'm not super familiar (no pun intended) with these snails yet.

These kinds of bubble snails are generally herbivorous - so good, safe clean up crew in most cases.

There are a few other kinds of snails with a similar body shape, but I'm not familiar with any that share this color offhand.

Wow thank you!!! It looks exactly like one of those. I will leave it alone in the aquarium. Thank you all for all your help!
