This appeared on the back of my tank yesterday. It almost looks like somebody scribbled on it with a white marker. It’s swirly and kind of cool. Could it be from a snail?

Will they hatch? Or will they just get sucked into the filter?
Depends on what kind of snail I think. I’ve had snails reproduce in my tank and become fully grown. Can’t remember what kind, but I got them from indo pacific sea farm. I think astrea and ceriths also readily reproduce in some people’s aquariums. I’m going off the top of my head, so this info could be useless. There’s some good stuff in there, but you really have to dig around.
