It's always interesting to me how a persons background or occupation relates if any to this hobby.

So what do you do?

- I am a GIS analyst, so my work focuses on anything that either takes up physical space, or represents something that takes up a space and relates to the physical environment.

I am willing to bet that 100% of the people on here have used some sort of GIS function in their lives. From the location of where you purchased fish, to the tracking of your shipments.

I own a Thai restaurant, have been a locksmith for 24yrs, and I am also a full time RN nursing student.

Beside coral sales I have a Home Inspection company. Put the two together and it takes up more time than I would like. But, I enjoy both of them and thats what matters.

I was a steel worker and i got hurt in a motorcycle accident so when i was released back to work i got layed off. So now i'm a Insurance Agent

Industrial electrician. Worked in the IT field for a while but hated being in management so I went back to electrician. No ties to the hobby.

EDIT: I used to co-own a LFS back in the early 80s. Sold out because the other owner wanted to expand and I did not have the time. He bought two other stores and started directly importing. Started a huge wholesale business and supplied a well known chain. He sold that and bought a software company. Sold the software company just before the tech bubble busted and netted 26 million dollars. Now he sits on the beach and I am still working away. Timing is everything.
