Just trying a little reverse psychology since I put it out there to universe. Why I'm at it I should mention I'm still waiting for ugly phase to happen as well;)

Now I'm really in trouble:D
Lol that’s going to be ultra depressing if I get another ugly phase I made the mistake of buying 3 tanks at the same time and fighting all 3 ugly phases.

I have a few:

  1. It's impossible for a coral to be overpriced.
  2. Most supplements and dosing products are little more than snake oil.
  3. Slavishly adhering to any particular 'method' does far more damage than simply taking the best ideas from wherever they come from.
  4. Peppermint shrimp are an ineffective means of aiptasia control.

Could you elaborate on your first point if possible?

Not sure stats on this but i read it often on this forum and its .....
Get what you pay for.
Buy best first time instead lots different cheaper equipment as keeps breaking.
And stuff along these lines, like anything in my life i just want it to work and do job its meant to do and last aslong as possible and ive found out in life not everything that is most expensive is best and some cheaper lesser known brands can be just as good or even better sometimes as alot of a well known, highly advertised brand the money is for paying for advertisements, higher running costs like employing more staff, rent etc etc you get the drift right.
I just look at reviews on products and see what others HONEST review is and see if i think it does the job intended, and try to distinguish between honest or just putting brand down as they tried it and didnt look right so want refund or whatever, ovbiously lots more than this like want good customer service etc etc
Dont get me wrong sometimes you need to buy most expensive or ome of most expensive to get a product that will last but it isnt always the case as ive read quite a few reviews £ 700 power heads breaking after few months but wont get into that ^_^

ALL cycles will stall.

Never EVER rinse live sand. You’ll kill EVERYTHING.

Putting a coral in a tiny class reef vase is TORTURE.

Never ever RIP clean a tank. The algae will grow back. Overdose vibrant and chemiclean instead.

NEVER quarantine fish. They will die. Always skip the disease preps because quarantine kills more fish than adding them directly to DT from the LFS.

Oh wow, you're coming in here spitting FIRE.

Though I do mostly agree with your chemiclean statement. I just saw ReeferNYC on Youtube under-dose chemiclean in his tank (trying to get rid of cyano) and he basically destroyed 100% of his Acros. That stuff is strong.
