Any thoughts as to what is covering my tank? I treated for cyano, did a 25% water change- no change. It looks reddish brown and furry some players and greenish-brown others. I guess it could be GHa? But it’s very short and kind of smushier looking. (Terrible description- sorry) I have 3 types of tangs and 2 rabbit fish and nothing is eating it.

Also looks greener/yellow or in the picture than it does in real life to me. Maybe my eyes are still adjusting to the blues being off.

Vibrant killed my turf algae along with nutrient control and good overall tank care.

I tried Vibrant about 6 months ago bc I had gha that I could not cure. We’re talking a prior year of running super low nutrient, water changes, black outs, h202 scrubs, cuc increase, tangs/urchins/rabbit fish/sea slugs/fuzzy chitons, algae scrubbers, gfo.... omg everything. Vibrant took care if it in about 3 weeks. Then I got red slime. Now I’ve got turf algae and Dino’s. I still have 0 phos and 2.5-5 nitrates and I really don’t want to try it again but the turf is encroaching on the corals. Sigh.

Most urchins will eat about any kind of algae and can be great additions to the tank, from what i have read, i have 1 red tuxedo and he does eat a lot more than i thought he would.

I have 3. They do eat it. Verrrry slowly. The fuzzy chitons do too. Even more slowly. It’s a 220g though. I would probably need at least 50 of each to keep it under control but they wouldn’t save the corals. :/
