Yes, it was a DIY project of mine last year. Made from a Petco 40 gallon breeder. I do have a thread about the sump, but no build thread on my tank. If you have any questions on it, please post in that thread. Don't want to get off topic here.

I've been looking at them to. My only concern is the noise from the pump. I have had several panworld pumps and they were always loud. Also, what pumps are you using if you want to run them in-sump.

165g total water volume. 100g display with about 15 fish, half of which are anthias. Feeding 2-3 cubes of frozen per day plus auto-feeder pellets. The skimmer keeps up without any issue, nitrate is always 0-0.25.

I've run a few different skimmers on this set up and I have to say anyone that says all skimmers are created equal are wrong.
Before^^ I had a coralife super skimmer 120, skimmed good but the neck would leak sometimes and that sucks! Sca-302 skimmed good but the pump (Atman 2000) sucked! I must of went threw 3 of them in a year. Bubble magnus curve 7 worked good but would just stop skimming some times for no reason.
The pump is the HEART and should get to most attention paid to it when buying, Imo...

I was using a mag 12 in sump, that died and now I'm trying out a mag 18.
Either way the skimmer is real quiet.
Others have been experimenting with DC pumps.
