I would say livestock wise, mexican turbo snails is the best algae control in a nano tank. And hardware wise, the ghl doser 2.0 is essential for dosing

I switched to LEDs now I’m saving ~ $50/month on my electric bill.

Umm interesting,didnt think switching to leds would save that much money a month.
I have 3 freshwater tanks set up.all on led lights set to around 50% power and just set my first saltwater dt and qt up and my electric bill sky rocketing ( im on a pre- pay metre where buy electric weekly/ fortnightly and have seen big spike in my electric usage as having to put more money in meter.
Dt has 4 t5 tubes plus like 7 other electric equipment ( still not added skimmer or ato so will be more soon lol) and qt little led light/ heater/ air pump and filter.so this post gets me thinking should i upgrade to led for dt now and turn t5 off.was going do it when added corals ummmm
