So yesterday, my firefish went missing......I couldn't find him anywhere in my nano, so I figured I had lost him. Today, he re-appears and is covered with ick. I'm guessing something happened that really stressed him out (I have had him for a while and he has never had any problems). Also, I haven't added any new fish, so I don't think anyone introduced anything new to the tank. I'm guessing he must have got stuck in something and finally wedged himself out and that lead to stress, thus causing a breakout of ick. So what would you do......

A Leave him go and see if he get's better on his own (he did eat today, so that is a good sign)
B. Put him in a quarantine tank and treat him with a copper solution
C. Put him in a quarantine tank and treat him with a non-copper solution

thanks for the input,
Darren

Whats up Darren?
I'd leave him be. It will be wayyy more stress just getting him out, let alone for him to stay in another tank during treatment. The only way I would do that is if I had other fish I was worried about.

How's life Chad, long time no see....I hope all is going well for you (how's fatherhood treating you?). I tend to agree, I'm not worried about my other fish, so I guess I may give him another day and reassess tomorrow.

cheers,
Darren
