Understandable, i didn’t make this post because there is something wrong but to see what others would do, I have seen some where others had some numbers like mine and was trying to fix it. My tank is still going through a cycle (ugly stage now). Only thing I see that could use adjustment is my trace colors, but at the moment that’s it. I was merely just trying to have a good conversation post in turn of a learning experiment for myself
Ok, there's tons of questions that could be asked but honestly it seems like you said, the tank is new and it's just going thru the phases, if you have picked a salt stick to those numbers and let time do its thing!

I would only do a water change just to clean up debris like the sump or sand or whatever. I wouldn't do it based on tests. 10% isn't a lot to expect it have a big impact on numbers anyways.

I didn’t say anything was wrong, I am interested in hearing what others opinion on the numbers if they would do something or let it be. Granted some numbers could use some adjusting, I have seen post and seen stuff online where people spaz over those numbers and want to change a lot. I was once that person to do that in the beginning until I learned more from this site.
As mentioned above .
stability is far more important .
Don’t consume too much time chasing specific numbers and let those numbers be where they are .
eventually you will need to dose to mai rain those levels . But that’s another topic , for another day

Which is the plan... I’m not sure how it’s a ton of questions thing when the post was meant to be a simple type of conversation on what people would adjust or not adjust not that there’s questions on what’s wrong with my tank.

LRS fish frenzy, clams, worms mostly, sometimes pellets
Oh cool, right now I’m using the tdo pellets And brine shrimps. I was doing frozen foods but backed off of it due to different things I’ve heard about them. Figured I’d save myself from finding out if it is true or not

What did you hear?

I would not let my fish live off pellets and brine shrimp

It was my intention on doing a water change but decided to hold off, after my testing is where I went against it and wait

I’m not actually in need of help but quite curious on what you would do. I browse the internet for answers on several things or just simply to hopefully learn how to do some stuff right when it comes to this hobby. So here are my current parameter, if these were your numbers what would you do? I know some would recommend 25% water change, some would say let it be, and some would suggest to dose.
Test we’re done with Red Sea

Salinity 1.026
temp 78.4
ph 8.2
kh 8
nh3nh4 0.07
no2 0.05
no3 20
po4 0.08
mg 1320
ca 420
k 410
fe 0.05
i2 0.06
what I keep
dKH 8.5-9
Ca 460
Mag 1350

No3 and Po4 in my opinion look good

The “water” in the cube could potentially affect numbers, there was also some about giving fish gut rot.

I was saying that is what I currently have to feed, gotta get to the lfs to get more stuff.

Sounds like a bunch of crap to me. Fresh seafood is healthy. Processed food is just that.. processed ;)

Buy some LRS, it is much better stuff then the cubes anywho. Nice mix of fresh ingredients.

I appreciate that, after I’m sure my cycle is complete is when I plan on doing my water change which is coming close i believe. After that is when I’ll make any adjustments if needed
Depending on what brand of salt you use, these numbers can and do vary significantly. The Tropic Marin I use mixes between 8-8.5dKH but Red Sea and Instant Ocean salts can have much higher alkalinity.

Id have to look to be sure, im using Red Sea coral pro
And its have a KH over 10! I prefer the standard - the blue bucket

If I had your readings - I would not do anything in the short run. However I prefer NO3 around 4-6 mg/L

Sincerely Lasse
