Whats a good pressure rate pump

Hey Guys, Looking for recommendation on a good reliable pressure rated external pump. Something that can pump around or more 2000 gph. This is going to be my main return pump for a 210 that will also feed a 33 frag tank, skimmer, 10g frag tank.

I have the Iwaki MD-70RLT on my 180 (just set it up). It has tons of pressure and I could easily run another return to a frag tank from it. As is, it's blowing sand around and I have another return running back to the sump. So the 100 would be more than adaquate. However, I do wish it was a bit more quiet as it's under the tank and it's a bit loud for me.

reeflo pumps are quiet, and very powerful, i have the iwaski 70 and the reeflo hammerhead the hammerhead is 5700 gallons an hour and it is quieter than the iwaski

Iwaki pumps are great, no question! However, look at the sequence Uno pumps to save on wattage. I currently run a Blueline 55 as my return pump, I switched from the Iwaki 70 to save on wattage, both pumps work GREAT!

I'd say the Marlin is your best choice:

I know the Iwaki 70RLT pulls around 360W, and it moves 500 GPH less!

The Hammerhead is not a pressure rated pump, flow only. Of the ones you have listed, I would choose the PanWorld hands down. It is essentially the same as the Iwaki (pump curve are nearly identical) with a smaller price tag. We have about 5 of the PS250 pumps running in our shop, never had a single problem with any of them.

I just read your post again. I stand by the post as far as a pressure rated pump.

Here are some suggestions. You do not need a pressure rated pump for this unless you sump is in a basement and your display tanks are on a different floor.

What sort of skimmer are you planning on using? Unless you plan on using your primary pump as a "feed pump" of sorts to the skimmer (where the skimmer would have another pumps which is responsible for bubble production - like a recirc), I would get a dedicated pump for the skimmer.

If you are looking for a flow-rated pump, I would look at the ReeFlo line. They are super efficient and reasonable priced. Look at the pump curves when you select one, the Dart flows 3600 gph at 0 ft of head pressure, when you take it up to 6 feet, it drops down to 2400 (which is still a lot of water). Keep in mind, you plumbing will add to you head pressure.

The tank and sump will be on the same floor, sump will just be behind the wall. The return pump will be supplying the skimmer (Deltec AP701), 33 gal frag tank, 35 gal anemone tank, 210 display , 50 gal sump and maybe a few other things. The tank will have a closed loop on it with a barracuda.

Will all the turns, valves and size of the piping i think a pressure rated pump is a better option. I am also trying to reduce the amount of pumps i am going to use.
