What's one more tank?

The hot glue holding in the overflow isn't exactly the most attractive, but it works. The floor is random, the overflow section drains about halfway down and holds about there.

The pump is noisy, probably because it's touching the glass and overflow. I'll have to do something about that. It's moving water really well though. I'm scheming a heater to fit under the tank, a la terrarium heaters, to keep it over room temp. Or I can just put something in it that will be fine between 65 and 75 with fluctuations.

I might take some of the weir teeth out so I can get more flow through, lowering the water in the display in favor of more by the pump.

But the real question, what goes in it?

The almost local fish shop just sent out a coupon for 50% off. They are doing renovations and want to clear house. I'm in danger.
See you later tonight with all the bags!

It's the week of the 17th. I may call to see when their shipment comes in; go after work that day. It's about an hour 30 away. It's not worth the drive if all they have is ocelaris clowns.

Water change yesterday. Was thinking this should probably be an nps tank as I'm pretty sure the light isn't worth much. Any reason not to?
Feeding is always possible.

That's my thought. There's no mechanical filtration right yet. It'd be easy to keep the thing dirty. Clean is the hard part. We'll see what happens to the birds nest in there.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t look like whiskey.
nope. saltwater. whiskey would be worse. it was physics trying to drain my tank and fry my computer. good thing I took a picture of it before cleaning it up.
