Yeah, I would think thats low. My tank ran at 70-72 for four days while I was out on business, where my 250w heater couldn't keep up while the temp dropped to single digits for a while. Luckily, I was able to call my dad over to plug up my 800w to get it back up and steady. I didn't see any ill effects from it.

My tank has dropped to 67.7 F with no ill effects noticed (sps, lps, softies, fish, etc). If it stayed that cold for long, pretty sure there would have been casualties.

I just set up a frag tank in the garage and it had dropped down to 66 at 10:00am. Mostly softies with some sps and a fish. All seemed to survive. I had a heater in the main tank and a another in the sump. Guess I need to get a better heater. Don't mean to hijack, but what kind of heater would I need to keep a total of 50g at a not so dangerous low temp. I live in san Diego, so this was pretty unusual.
