Recently my favorite Acan Lord colony has not fully opened or puffed up as they use to. The only other coral next to them is another acan lord colony. The rest of my tank looks great except these guys. They're not closed completely but not fully opened either. I've read some lords tend to this from time to time without warning or ill effects afterwards. Has anyone else experienced this before?

I run GFO/Carbon reactor and my params are normal. Lately it's been hot in my area but no drastic temp fluctuations (74-76).

Help!

If water parameters are stable it might be a hungry inhabitant like a fish or crab. I pulled out all my hermits & emeralds & polyps on my acans are almost recovered.

I agree that has been my experience when parameters are stable that it is usually a tank inhabitant that has developed a taste for acans. Any new fish additions?

No new fish, although last month I did notice my Blenny nip at my Acan; the Acan hardly reacted though. If this is the case, removing the Blenny is going to be a P.I.N.T.A!

I haven't dipped yet but I will tonight.

Thanks everyone!
