I thought Turtleweed/Maiden's hair algae (Chlorodesmis) was quite a popular macroalgae a few years back, but it never seems to be available anymore. What happened? Does this have to do with recent collection bans in the Indo-Pacific region (but isn’t Chlorodesmis also native to the Caribbean)?
My guess is it is hard to collect it without the rock attached, and if shipped with rock it incurs a CITES fee. Caribbean species that are hard to collect without collecting the rock are usually not in the hobby unless it came from aquaculture, because Caribbean rock is protected.

I bought some from them ( corals anonymous) It looks very nice but does anyone know how to care for it? I put it on the highest rock to the surface I have...should it be lower? I assume it will grow in rock as that's how mine arrived...
