Just went and bought a second power head as requested by many on here. Flow has been decent but many suggested and I had been meaning to do it for a while. Any suggestions on where to put the new one? I’m free to move my power head from where it’s from right now, just want to make sure my toadstool will receive adequate flow. I bought the same brand and size powerhead. Also would love some feedback on the angle of the powerheads to promote water flow too.

Its time to sit down at the tank and play around with the power heads. Each time you make an adjustment wait for a bit to see what the flow looks like. It may take 5 minutes each adjustment. With two power heads you are trying to create some random flow where the water changes direction and isn't blowing directly on coral. You can add air into the heads to see what the flow looks like. Turkey baster will work as well as an air pump.

A full tank picture would have helped answer that. IMO there are 2 goals with flow, 1 is to create agitation on the surface to help with gas exchange and 2 is eliminate dead flow spots. I usually position my powerheads on opposite sides, about a third below the water line, and aim the powerheads up and towards each other so the flow meets and bounces and creates random flow patters, It really takes a lot of playing around with positioning to get it all right. Good luck

I attached a picture but I was thinking back left near the filter and just point up the powerhead I already have there? I’m not exactly sure what type of flow it is I’m looking for, unless I just put them from left and right so they meet in the middle?

Id point them both up. Helps keep from blowing the sand everywhere. Try the spot you mentioned and see how you like it. It may be perfect for you the first try or you might have to move it to the opposite end of the tank. It's all trial and error.
