Swinging by Home Depot for gardening gear and been thinking of a dremel to frag my overgrown hammer and chop the dead heads off a torch.

Anyone have recommendations on which tips are the best for the job?

Rotary head (assumed) or oscillating type?

Or just get one of the kits with lots of tips in it?

Thanks!

I use a rotary, but have a variety of tips. I've also used a DeWalt oscillating multitool.

I skipped the Dremel when I was doing it and got a cheap wet tile saw from harbor freight. I used to get the protection plan and they replaced it every year or so for free because the salt water rusted it

Amazon has diamond blades pretty cheap.
Link just goes to the Amazon home page, but a quick search pulled these up and looks like they work in a Dremel:

Not too shabby.

Side note about cut off wheels...
Inspect them before each use. Discard if any cracks or you if drop the tool with it on. The smallest Crack can make it come apart at 10000rpm+. I knew a guy that had this happen and a piece went into his ankle. Last I saw him he was in a wheelchair awaiting amputation at the knee. Granted, that was a 3" disc on high powered air tool, but still- be aware of the possibilities

I generally stay out of the line of fire also when using them.

that is no joke. i aways spin them full speed held such that all of my body is out of it's direction of rotation for a bit before ever using, for grinder disks and any composite material wheels. same as when using them, i try to hold it such that if it were to explode, my face and core aren't in the path of destruction. one or two close calls there and it is enough to be cautious for the rest of forever.

Please get the rechargeable battery kind do not get a 115volt unless you want a shocking experience
