Hi everyone, I have had a saltwater aquarium for almost a year now and up until now it hasn’t been a problem however in the last few weeks I’ve lost a Green Chromis, Royal Grammer, Benggai Cardinal Fish and a Algae Blenny in that order (all were 6 years old except the Blenny which I had only bought a week earlier). I could find no obvious reason for why this happened, water salinity was fine (1.023 - 1.025), water testing was all in ‘normal’ range (Carbonate, pH, Hardness, Chlorine Free, Nitrate and Nitrate). Have done usual regular water changes then I have got home from work today and some of the fish were all acting strangely - quite aggressive to each other, which is not normal.
On closer inspection I noticed that two of my new Green Chromis have got white patches on them (bigger than what I would expect white spot to be) (I have attached a photo but not sure how clear it will be).
I have been to local Pet Store (Pets at Home - I am in the UK) but this is not a specialist fish store and and Marine Fish Support is limited. It’s going to be the weekend before I can get up to a specialist place.
On the advice in store, and I have satisfied myself reading the labels on the bottles, I have bought API Melafix and API Pimafix as suggested by the guys in the shop having shown them the picture
With the expert knowledge around is anybody able to see the pictures clear enough to possibly give any advice on possible diagnosis of what this could be or any other treatments I’m not doing?
