White Plumed Anemone

Love these! Don't know much about them, except that they are cold water. Can anyone give me any info? I've wanted one every since I laid eyes on 'em at our local aquarium!

Without question, I think you need a coldwater tank. The tank walls need to be extra thick to minimize condensation and you'll need a chiller. Those costs will be somewhat offset by the fact that your lighting doesn't need to be as strong as with regular reef tanks. Overall, the cost shouldn't be that much more and it'll be soooooo beautiful. Be sure to start a build thread so we can all enjoy it. Hope you can start soon.

Like Gary said.They are cold water ned waters with a chiller.They are colonial and stay in groups!Very nice to have a display of them!However,I havent ever seen any for sale!

On a side note for everybody else, You need a export permt to legally ship them out of Canada, unless you plan on smuggling them into the states and shipping them.

Like Moto stated we have those here in washington state no smuggling needed lol when I go to Seattle Aquarium again I will post all the photos of the local Live stock we have in our waters. the touch pool is crazy but I look at cold water as I do with texas bugs everything is bigger lol cucumbers are 8" or more. here all you need is a fishing permit. with I am not sure which stamp but people here dive for there cold water live stock.

Moto knows more people in this area as I am Just moved here from vegas. he would be the persona to contact to find someone to dive and get this stuff for you. most beaches on low tide I can go grab star fish lol

i think the waters here are still in there 50's lol too cold for me to swim in thats for sure. I don't go where I have no fighting chance of surviving aka diving!

Make sure you ship in the winter and wait until collecting is open to do so :)
