White puffy things in overflow

Saw these in my overflow. They are soft and barely cling on to the glass. I looked through the critter id and all I can see that resemble them are pineapple sponge?

They are everywhere in the overflow, on the heater, tubes, etc... 100s of them

Do they indicate anything? Too much feeding? Dirty water? Just trying to get an idea since the tank is relatively new. Just lost a coral the other day so I was checking everything out.

I can't tell from your pictures....too fuzzy, but from description, google pineapple sponge and see if that is what you have.

+1 pineapple sponge. I always get them in my mature tanks as well. They're a good thing.
