Who has a boat?

I’m so excited! We have been boating for 5 years on the Chesapeake bay in a 21’ searay bow rider. I finally convinced my wife to upgrade so we made an offer on a 2001 28’ sundancer with dual engines and a generator. The survey is Wednesday crossing all fingers that the survey goes well we will be on the new boat this weekend. Just in time since our current boat died yesterday. Anyone want to buy a 21 foot boat with a broken outdrive lol

Very nice boat. I am into sailing and no longer have a boat, I have been on the Other People's Boat plan for several years. I do love sailing in the Chesapeake. Have sailed to or from Solomons several times.

Don’t have have a boat myself but plan on one after I finish my schooling. My entire family are huge boaters so I still boat often. My uncle currently has a Grady White Canyon 27 and a pontoon at his lake house. In his younger years he had a world famous cigarette race boat named Kahlua on Lake Erie which he sold for his Chris Craft Emerson Fittipaldi limited edition I believe it was 36’ or 38’ but sadly sold it when he bought his lake house as it was too big of a boat for the lake. Keeps saying he’s gonna get a Contender 39’ for his house in Florida.

The 21’ was my first boat ever. I learned a lot with this experience. First never buy a boat without a survey. Second if your leaving a boat in salt water all season a Bravo3 drive is not the best choice for outdrive. Even with annual zinc changes as paint the galvanic corrosion literally ate the prop collar away. For the price of a single Bravo 3 drive I can almost replace both motors and both alpha drives that are in the new boat. :)

Now that is very cool. I’ve watched videos of those aluminum jet boats going crazy places lol. That lake reminds me of home. I grew up on lakes in Oregon.

Wow, you can really see the Beam difference when you move into the 300's lol. I almost put an offer on a 340 which would have been sized perfecly for the family and the bay. But figured I would take baby steps lol

Family had a few boats. We still own a 22’ maxum cabin cruiser, 1959 24’ Shephard, 1955 22’ gravette. We sold a 27’ 1957 shepherd, a 1969 Chris craft aquahome featured in playboy magazine, and a 32’ Trojan. I’ll get some pics when I return home if interested.

That's the way to do it, but my buddy is holed up until this covid thing gets better. Another buddy has a monster 1970's trojan cabin crusier which you need a minimum of two people to fish out of. It is an overkill boat for Lake Champlain salmon fishing and he rarely takes it out..it trolls too fast and you need to put out bags to slow it down.

My hole in the water is now a hole in the yard with a tarp over it to keep the hole from filling up with leaves, 17' sea nymph fishing machine in dire need of seats and new decking.

I'll say that... requires about as much maintenance as a reef tank.

Make sure you find a good mechanic
