Right now its just a CUC and by far the Emerald Crab is a punk. As long as everyone stays away he is cool, but come within swiping distance and you'll find out.

The LFS called it a "Cherry Tomato Clown" I was looking for a true name for it before I posted this thread. I haven't found it online yet. @revhtree posted a thread about this fish several years ago, but I haven't been able to find that post again.

Based on body shape and general temperament, I am going with a clown variety, but subsequent searches have yet to yield a true name for it.
I guess it's amphiprion ephippium, red saddleback clownfish.

I have some surprisingly peaceful fish that are meant to be aggressive and aggressive fish that are meant to be peaceful… here’s my top 3 jerks in my 4’ though.

1. This guy will glide around the tank and although he’s a beautiful fish he will go at the new comers and actually sometimes the larger guys. I’ve had this fish for 2 years and 5 months, it’s my Chelmon rostratus - Copperband Butterflyfish.

2. I have a Jade Wrasse and they’re known for being aggressive (especially as how mine is a transitional male), whilst I did see some aggression from him at first… The radiant came out on top! This fish is meant to be peaceful and towards other fish he is but any wrasse that tried to be higher up in the hierarchy than hwill be told about it. In the first photo, the Jade was chilling and minding his business then the radiant swam by him.

3. This spot is for the one fish in this tank that will go after anything, whether it’s a new coral near her home, my hand or even fish that are larger than her, no matter what she will define what her territory is… Spot number 3 goes to my Female Black Photon Clownfish. And when I say she will go after anything I have watched her combat the Twin Spot Bristletooth and Magnificent Foxface!

These are the two biggest jerks in my systems right now. Flame angel won’t stop bothering new additions for weeeeeeeks and the mystery wrasse is always instigating fights with my midas blenny and royal gramma.

For me, it is this guy...

IMG_0937.jpg

Any time I get my hand within a couple feet of the Euphillia he calls home, he swims over and bites me. Not painful, but startling for sure.. lol... He is fine with the other fish in the tank, but he definitely doesn't like my hand. Or maybe, he likes it, just in the wrong way lol.

So, who is your tank jerk?
It’s that same guy, only a little bigger and less attractive. On top of aggression on the back of my hand let’s throw in stirring up the sand bed

And of course it’s the only fish that won’t swim into the fish trap box. Tried it for a full week.

That's my $30 petco toadfish! He's a killer. Lol. Watched him gobble up a six line wrasse recently. Surprisingly let's Peppermint shrimp sit right next to him though. Lol. Maybe he was just full. He's an eater and doing well in a bare bottom tank. I placed a lot of flat shelf rock on the bottom for him.

This one is not a fish even though I have a well mannered six line and clowns. It surprises me to say it but my skunk cleaner shrimp. My lfs had five beautiful RFAs. I brought home a beautiful one. The minute i got it placed wher I wanted it, the shrimp began picking ati . I would push it away. The next morning it had moved and and the shrimp was all over it. It disappeared for a few months and a couple of weeks ago it showed up and had went from beautiful to this poor little colorless thing
