Who is using the Hanna Marine Monitor?

Salinity drifts constantly and seems to be getting worse. You can sometimes swish the probe around and it will go back to normal but what I’m seeing is that is no longer working and I am calibrating constantly. Just calibrated last night and again this morning. And I don’t think you can replace the salinity probe I could be wrong though.

Interesting feedback. How long have the probes been in use? Have you ever cleaned them and, if so, how?

The product manual lists the salinity/temp probe OD at 12.5 mm.

That would be better than the GHL probe , which is slightly under 12mm. it may be a bit snug, but it should work.

I'll try and get ahold of one of those Hanna kits and see if we can run some tests.

Sorry - I have not gotten my hands on one of these probes yet.

With that said, we are looking at a very small design change to the SPS kit. Currently the kit has a medium density silicone o-ring inserted into the body that seals the probe in. It has a ~12mm ID, but not a lot of "squishiness", so it s a little to hard to form fit over a probe that are either slightly larger or slightly smaller than the 12mm Neptune probe

We are working on an internal seal we would manufacture ourselves with our Flex material that would be a little softer and form fitting to accommodate probes with an OD range of around 10 to 13mm
