Yes anti sync is basically one pump doing the opposite to the other, as one pump ramps up the other will ramp down. This can be setup on the child pump, and for some reason the setting is called phase (set to 160)

The only time I can hear my pumps are if they are running at around 80% and I have my head in the cabinet lol, even then it's a faint humming.

Standing next to the tank I can't hear anything.

So my second pump. If I put it full on child and phase 165 it will do exactly what the other one will do? What is the difference from the phase %'s?

The pumps are local (bluetooth) only.

But to be honest once you have them setup and programmed how you want, you don't really need to access them again and can turn the Bluetooth off on your phone.
Why do they have the option to turn local off? Online it says you can control from anywhere.. I wonder what thats about.

Yes second pump on child will follow the same schedule as the first pump.

Phase 180 will be antisync so for example if the parent pump is slowing down from 100% the child pump will be speeding up.

The different phase levels as far as I know add a delay so they are neither synced or antisync

Cool thanks. I put it on 180.

Do you have an Apple Watch? I’m trying to get it to work but says no devices

Also when I’m viewing current speed the app goes back to the main screen randomly. I been working with tech but no resolution

No, I use my android.

Current speed seems to stay on the screen for me.

Turn off local, I think that just means disable the controller button onothe wavemakers, this way no one can push it and change the setting

I do like my Nero. Better then the octo I would think. Gyre is to bulky imo. Vortech is nice just with the Nero you can turn it a little

the reason i am leaning towards the others is the Apex control i can get from the other 3. decisions decisions lol

or am i other thinking the apex control?

:( How thick is your glass? Mine have been solid on a 525xl, even did a video for someone so they could see how strong the magnets are

Man I keep going back and forth on this pump! I’ve been seriously tempted to buy one for m Red Sea Reefer 350 and was close to pulling the trigger until I saw the above about it falling off.

That's significantly thicker than the side glass on the reefer 350 so I may be good. I think the 350 has the same side glass thickness as adams901's 525xl

I measured mine it's 12mm thick (think I did it right).

Actually looking at your photo neo, the glass thickness wasn't an issue as the inside magnet is still attached. It looks like something in the tank knocked it off, or it was angled too much

Have had 4 Gyres. Currently have a Nero 5. Got rid of the gyres because they cost too much to repeatedly repair. Good pump when they are working but as they age they break down and require a lot of maintenance. So far so good with the Nero but in my experience it takes a few months to really know about a pumps overall value. Is compact, totally quiet and easy to program.

No battery backup option is kind of a deal killer for me. I really like that my gyre has one. I might get one to run with my gyre 250, it’d be weird but probably work ok

Exactly what I’m considering. I have an XF150 and need another pump for the other side so I’m tempted to get this or a Tunze 6095.
