Hi guy's yesterday i tried .

Some of the corals aren't looking so hot with some looking like bleaching .
Some totally unafected .
And after a few mins basting I'm still finding worms .
It's recommended three treatments one week apart .
Anyone had any successes with this method if so any tips .
I can't say for sure if i was a little aggressive with the spray till i fine tuned the mist setting ..that might explain the tissue loss.

The finding of the worms was 24 hours after the treatment.

Round 2 .
The spray will kill flatworms between 12-15 Which i tested outside of the aquarium.
You really need to mist gently as a more agressive spray will strip the tissue .
Which i found out

Just an update .
Four days after treatment.
Basted all the corals ZERO flatworms came off.
I'm going to spray two more times to account for any laid eggs .
All coral tissue has recovered from my mistake of spraying too hard on the last treatment.

Because i can't edit my previous post .
All flatworms died within 15 mins of spaying.

Hello.. nice report.. can you give us an update.. have they come back?? If i understood well: 2g of KCL in 1 liter of tank water spraying gently all sps.. leave it for 15 minutes and then refill the tank..
Have you observed any ill effect to the tank general health or parameters??
For after treatement what you have used.. any absortive media or just carbon..
Waiting for your replay before tearing off my tank

Hi.
Sorry for the late reply .
Good news for anyone wanting to test this.
After completing 4 drains and sprays I've not found a single worm .
I've increased the time after spraying to around 20 minutes.
I'll be doing a few more weeks of spraying .
As it's not shown any negative side effects.
Although I should probably grab a potassium test kit

That's that's awesome news. I was very close to trying this after having a tough battle but then I made progress and have not seen a worm in over two months. If they were to come back I think I would use this method, it seems to be quicker less work with more guaranteed results. Thank you for taking the time to attempt this!

How is your tank doing? I blasted my corals today after a couple weeks and they are back unfortunately. Haven't seen them in 2 months

Hi.
I performed the drain and spay just a few days ago to see if I could find anything and thankfully I didn't.
That being said I've a friend who's dealing with the same issues .
And it's taken him five sessions to seemingly rid himself of them.
I'm not really convinced it's three sessions and you're done is the most effective treatment.
It took me four .
It's those dang Un hatched eggs.

Not sure if I've mentioned it before but I was leaving the spray on the corals 20 to 30 mins before filling .

How many weeks has it been since you have seen a worm?
Did you lose any corals from the spray SPS or negative side effects from LPS?
Do you have fish in that system? If so how did they react?
Lastly where did you buy the potassium chloride from?

Hi
It's been a over a few weeks for sure now .
I didn't lose any corals however one had what looked to be tip burn it's making a recovery after I snipped off the dead tissue.
Average number if fish which showed no negative side effects .
Brightwells potassium P.
I'm confident this method works .
We just need to figure out the number of treatments and days between them.

In guessing doing a w/c after is helpful to lower the potassium levels? I have a potassium test kit, I'll be sure to measure, curious to see how much those levels are affected.

One last question I can't find an answer to, your mixing the potassium with salt water right not rodi?
