Wild vs AquaCultured

When purchasing a frag or colony do you prefer wild caught or aqua cultured coral?

aqua cultured for me almost all of the time now.

aqua all the time... i can't stand the low survival rate and color morphs of wild and maricultered pieces.. it's almost depressing lol... i stick with what's tried and true it also helps avoid alot of unwanted pests...;)

Aquacultured for me almost 100% now. I haven't had near the luck with wild colonies.

aquacultured! they seem to hold color better, better survival rate and keeps more coral in the ocean!

keep the wild colonies in the wild, we've taken enough from the reefs now, proproganate all the way now.

This poll will be a landslide toward aquacultured. Of course that has my votes.

Aquacultured has my vote as well. The couple times that I've gotten wild colonies, they either browned out and never got their color back or suffered from RTN. I'll never buy a wild colony again

always aquacultured but have to be inland far away from sea or with artificial seawater!

the thing is i can keep wild colonies alive no problem now but every time i get one it has 2 colors it morphs into either brown with colored tips or green!!!!! i hate green acros way to many out there i want some orange sticks!!!! lol

Aquacultured all the way for me. I have tried wild frags before and I still have a few but they are a 50/50 shot in my experience. I don't think I have lost a aquacultured frag in years.

I have an aquacultured & a wild colony of Superman monti. The aquacultured is by far, the more colorful!

The only reason I can for anybody wanting wild coral is the chance to get the newest craze, and cash in.

Yeah i prefer aquacultured too but i dont mind wild. I have a LFS here that has some really nice wild pieces and i have had no problems in my tank.
