i've put it in a medium flow, low light area of my tank and dosed some extra amino acids to see if it'll help. any extra suggestions?

Thats a terrible cut but it could definately make it. Id do low light/low flow and see what happens...

Doesn't look like it had proper time to heal, IMO...

Yep, I too think it has a good chance. I have saved less that that :( I would definitly not be happy, as like Ian said, it looks like it was a fresh cut

It doesn't look like it was healed before it was shipped. Chalice like that are 50/50 on making it. When i frag a chalice the ones that have skeleton poking out usually don't make it. The ones that don't have skeleton poking out usually heals and grows.

It is a pretty tough chalice from what I've seen, but I agree with bigian the cut looks pretty fresh and probably should have healed longer if it was shipped.

I'd like your chances better if there wasn't skeleton poking through all the remaining tissue... good luck :)

Well I agree but at the very bare minimum. Usually we try not to sell frags until they start to grow. Which takes 1 month or so.

P.S. I wish you good luck on bringing it back!

Eric. I will take care of you on this one. Just so everyone is clear on this. I cut the frag on Jan. 11th. That is three weeks healing time. More than enough in my book. As I said I will take care of it.

It was triple bagged, and Eric told me in an e-mail that the heat pack was still warm. It was overnighted UPS and had a 40 hr Heat pack. Styro lined box. Unfortunately when you are dealing with a thousand variables some things just happen. This is why I am taking care of it.

thanks roshi719.

it was shipped very well; triple bagged and the water was still warm. unfortunately what i think may have happened was that it might have tumbled around, which caused tissue trauma, but as stated above, there's many variables.

Coral revive dip then keep your fingers crossed, I have had worse looking rebound just fine, if it's hardy then a little TLC and time might do the trick
