What would spell trouble with this stand? aswell if i put a coat of water proof paint would that help?
I’m sure it’s painted now and additional paint will. surely help, but my. experience with non rustproof metals around saltwater is it will rust eventually and it doesn’t take long if you aren’t on top of wiping down et.
$150 it might be worth it
If you have the ability to cut straight, a 60 tooth blade, some 1/2” melamine and strong magnets and you could make a Red Sea style stand

What about a powdercoat? Im sure that will alleviate the rust worry

I was gonna say that but is the added cost worth it? maybe?
That is a fair point, but i think itll maybe cost less all together than the actual stand for it which is 650 cad
