Thanks. I guess I'll see if I can find another tank to use while I fix this one. And I actually bought aquarium silicone

Sorry again for the hassle. I'm surprised it let loose but I was specifically told by the manufactures of my acrylic baffles to use that specific silicone as it adheres plastic to glass better. Once again best of luck :)

Thanks I will look into it. It was my baffle that held back water for my filter socks. I'm currently looking at a manual roller mat system by reef life design. So might be able to just leave it out and put that in

Good thinking, I also skipped the socks and went with roller mats for my systems

Hope everyone is doing well. I apologize for my inactivity lately. My daughter and I traveled to Omaha for a week and then returned to get the whole family sick with a minor cold. Anybody have any updates or new photos? Once again I wish everyone the best :)

Well it's been quite a while since I've posted on here. Lots of life happened and to cut a long story short both my mother in law and my mother are breast cancer survivors simultaneously and I got a new job!

The tank is doing.... Fine. It was getting neglected for a while during some difficult times but I've mostly got the ship righted. I lost one acro to STN and I'm not sure why. Luckily I'm no longer bottomed out on nutrients and in fact had to raise my nutrient export. At this point it's a matter of maturing the coral and managing chemistry. No big algae outbreaks or dinos appear to be happening anymore (knock on wood).

Been quiet in here lately, so here's an update on my tank in the past few months.

Had a really bad aiptasia outbreak. Bought 10 berghia nudibranchs. Took about 2 months before I noticed anything and then 2 weeks later aiptasia was gone.

Had a cyno outbreak around the same time. I tried Dr. Tims, mb7, lights out, upgraded the cleanup crew. Tried extra cleaning but I still couldn't shake it... I broke down and used chemiclean. Hope this doesn't bite me later.

Upgraded my powerheads. A co-worker gave me a steal of a deal on two old mp40's. Then during the 25% off sale I snagged another mp40. Interesting enough the old mp40's are quieter than the new "quiet drive". Seems like the build quality on the old mp40's is better as well.

Still slowly trying to redo the central aquascaping of my tank. It's been a months long project mostly because I only have a half hour here and a half hour there to work on it. I want to make it one piece and drill holes so I can swap frags around.

Corals have been doing well, I've only lost 1 frag in the last 25 I bought, so for me, that's somewhere around next level. I believe the difference for me has been focusing on the ALK way more than I have in the past. I have it laser sighted in and my tank consumes about 0.1 dkh a day.

I am no expert at photography but here are a few of my better growing corals. (I tried a whole tank photo but it was half glare)

Both of them have been in my tank for around 6-7 months.

Red monticap... I'm probably going to regret this one, it's nearly doubled in size in the 2 months I've had it.

Favites I believe of some sort I picked up about 6 months ago at the madison frag swap. I may also regret this one... I think I have it confined.... I hope....

Green highlighter acro I believe. Not sure the scientific - Acropora Tenius maybe? Probably my favorite in my tank right now. Not because it's the prettiest, but it really represents a leap forward in my skill level. This started as a single branch super glued (not even encrusted) on a frag plug. It now has 4 or 5 branches that were nearly as big as it was when I got it about 6 months ago

I also ordered some more corals from Battle corals. I'm looking forward to adding more to my tank!

How's everyone else's tanks doing?

That's awsome. I have used chemiclean in the past with no ill affects. But for me seem like 20 percent water change isn't enoph. I end up using my skimmer and ato to filter out the rest.

As for my tank all my corals seem to be doing good but I just can't shake the Gha and it is driving me and the wife nutz. I'm waiting for the lfs to get there $1 Astria snails I'm and I'm just going to buy a **** ton and hope it works lol.

Sup all. It’s been a minute so I’ll also do a quick update. I ended up taking down my main tank and thought I was done in the hobby.

I ended up keeping a few things in a 20 gallon tank and have been slowly restocking things. I got rid of 95% of my livestock thinking I was calling it quits. (Doh) In the move I ended up bottoming my nutrients and had a dino issue in the new tank. I’ve now got that somewhat under control so I’m slowly adding corals as I can find them. Hope everyone’s doing well.

How is everyone's tank doing? I posted a month ago or so about my tank disaster/crash. I'm slowly getting everything back under control as I dial in my new Reef Breeder lights. Most of my SPS has now either fully died or is slowly recovering after at least partial STN. I bought some new Euphilia and a Zoa from Kahuna and they seem to be doing well. Innovative Marine came out with a manual filter fleece roller that fits in one of the overflows of their AIO's so I ordered one of those.
