Wondering what hobby keeps you busy

Well by busy I mean wallet thin , what hobby do you seem to pour your funds into? Me well I have alot of hobbies from photography to the reef tanks and equipment, also coins and now thinking of collecting watches...what hobby or hobbies keep your wallet busy?

Reef tanks at the moment. But as you stated I have a ton of hobbies also, I would say woodworking thins the wallet a bit also. Coins ,Guns,Traveling

I collect movies and my wife does not work so I support her hobby of scrap booking

RC Cars. Mostly electric using brushless motors and lithium polymer battery packs. My fastest car is a 37 volt system

If you are a reefer it is best to have a second hobby to keep you from messing with the tank

My Other hobbies are Electronics, CNC, and I'm starting to get back into RC Helicopters and Planes.

I dabble in woodwork, building in general (I'll try to build almost anything), cars (I have two project cars and neither are finished), guns, bonsai, photography, I used to draw quite a bit. I really don't have time for any of it since I found an activity that actually makes me money, overtime, lol. The wife calls me a jack of all trades and master of none.

Other hobbies for me are camping, biking and gardening. Not motorcycles btw - bicycles lol. Nothing crazy I just like tinkering with my bike :) We go camping 3-4 times a year, mostly in central & northern California.

I started the gardening with my GF - she is definitely into it more than I am, but it keeps her busy and she doesnt bust my chops as much about the tanks all over our apartment lol.

All my hobbies have fed my "tinkering" needs productively. I'm currently working on most areas of my technical skills in DIY projects.

Overall though - reef-keeping (or my sorry attempts at it lol) - keep my wallet the thinnest!

Watches are my number one kryptonite. Hands down one of the most financially taxing hobbies one can have assuming you take it to the level of the "true" enthusiast.

My parents own a 160 acre farm so I'm messing around over there a lot of the time.

I also love to waterfowl hunt.

Well other then reef keeping, my other hobbies include hunting, fishing (freshwater and saltwater), woodworking and collecting nascar memorabillia.

Plus you add to my list the wifes list of PC Gaming, book and movie collecting, my wallet is always shrinking.

Let's see my reef tank, working at least 50 hours a week, and college are keeping me pretty busy. College and the tanks are spreading the wallet quite thin. :(

Lets see, fluorescent minerals and crystals require quite a bit of money. Golf gets pretty expensive along with old Topps baseball cards (50s-70s).

For me.....summer time is waterski season!! The reef does not get as much attention as the boat, lake, and time in the ski course does. Winter on the other hand is much different. I don't do much in the winter any longer since the snowmobiles were sold.

Reef tanks is my only hobby. I looked for a hobby for years. I would start one spend a bunch of money then get burned out. 3 years ago my buddy got a freshwater tank and it peaked my interest into saltwater. I told him I just want fish and plastic plants lol. He said there are corals and all kinds of things. Now 3 years later and on my 4th tank I am hooked. Probably spent 30 grand on different corals tanks pumps you name it.

Oh Hobbies

I have a few hobbies that keep me wallet thin, and busy! I am a third generation woodworker, and make furniture and other things. I also am a former polisher, I learned a finishing technique known as a French Polish, and have been actually able to make a little money with that one. I refinish furniture and period antiques as well. I also spent 4 years as a pastry chef, so I create custom cakes on the side.

Travel, for me! Since I work in the airline industry, I fly for free. We mainly just go to Annapolis, Maryland & D.C., but that means good, good shopping for Emily. In fact, we are going next week! Hooray! : )
