Did you request the 45 degree braces on the alufab stand? I have a 72 x 30 that I've very happy with but I did not get those extra braces. Just curious. It was a great product at a good price. Although so far it's only been a work bench for my fish room build...

Yes I did since I did not want a vertical brace in the front middle. I put the 45's on each corner as well as smaller 45's in the interior corners. If you look higher in the thread I posted the drawing they made for me.

You could add them and have them give you roll in bolts so you don't have to take apart your whole build to add them.

Making progress
-Lights are hung and fully wired up into the ceiling for a nice clean look.
-Stand is completely built and ready to go.
-Started working on the controller cabinet and added a battery backup which should be able to run the whole system short of the lights for a couple of hours until I can turn on the actual generator.

Looks amazing. Any details on how you setup your battery backup. I definitely need this to give me a couple of hours leeway.
It is the simplest thing ever. The eco Delta 2 has a built in transfer switch. I plan to plug the Delta 2 into an outlet so it is always at 100% charge. I then plan to plug 2 Neptune Eb's into the delta. All of my equipment other than the lights will then be plugged into the neptune outlets. As a bonus the Delta does offer some level of surge protection, however I have very little power surge issues where I live. To go a step further I will put my heaters and pumps on seperate Eb's so I don't overload either of them. With all that being said this is the plan and I wont really know how well it works until I add water and mess with it. I plan to run a bunch of tests during the cycle to really see how fast it switches over to battery and how long it will actually run the system at full power for.

Sad update day
I received my sump and it is too tall. Absolutely no way I will ever do maintenance with this amount of room. I am ordering a new one and going longer and lower. The old sump was 40x21x20 and I have it listed on marketplace hoping to help out someone. New one on order is 60x15x21 and should give me the headspace I need to work in the sump.

Just a speedbump, not a roadblock

Thanks big shoutout to EngineeredPrintings on etsy. The light shades fit perfectly.
Do you mind if I use some of the pictures you’ve posted on my Etsy listing for the light shades?

Your build is fantastic. Can’t wait to see the next progress post.

Of course you can. If you want me to take any others for you I am happy to as well. I am actually adding some orphek bars as well so I am curious to see how it all comes together with the shades. I will post pics once I get it all hanging next week.

The tank is finally here!!!

Plumbing, leak test, scape and sand all happening this weekend!!! Hopefully starting the cycle by Sunday evening. Shouldn’t be a super long cycle as I have live sand from tbs on the way and a boatload of cycled media from my old tank. May also had some Australian live rubble rock too.
