Good evening everyone
Today I took home an awesome but struggling red croc scoly in a rescue attempt to try and save it. I try not to put any coral in my tank without dipping them first; and did the same with this one. I did a typical 5+ min iodine dip in saltwater. And then did 4 short RO dips and between held them back into saltwater to not over stress it. During the RO dips 4 nasty looking worms came running out. I’m worried they were the cause of the scoly losing tissue, although I was told that it was the result of an alk swing from a doser issue they had.
Please give me an ID of what these worms are, and If they are the ones responsible for the scoly tissue damage. Any advice on how to save this beautiful piece are greatly appreciated
