Was just curious if this would be enough lightning for sps to grow? I have a ai prime hd over this tank and have a frag rack just below the water line and have my primes set to brs suggested settings would this do the job? Assuming that all my other parameters are in range lights are also mounted about 9 inches from Surface.

If you are asking if AI Primes are strong enough to grow SPS, yes they are. I'd be careful starting them off that close to the surface, might be too intense too soon.

How big is your tank? Is the one Prime your only light? That will be more helpful to figure out spread/PAR/ lighting needs of anything not right under the light.

My tank is a standard 55 and I have two of them on it currently and trying to figure out a way to put my kessil a360x tuna blue in the middle for better spread.

Then I would think you would be able to grow SPS fine with those lights, and probably wouldn't have them on a frag rack that close to the light.

Very doable. Add Kessil mounted to wall or centered via bracket. Primes off course on each end.

12 - 14" off surface should be fine. I have them at 15" off surface with my large cube tank

I personally wouldn’t use ai prime to grow sps because it’s just not strong enough in my opinion.
I would go with a reefbreeder photon v2

Based on what? BRS has done plenty of videos showing the par of lights and they are plenty strong enough.

Have them ramp up hour and half on and off each night run them for 12 hours total
