I am thinking about upgrading to 400W MH with bulbs and ballasts.

I think I am going to break down the 75 today. Then I will clean it and repaint the stand. I am now spoiled. I don't want anything wet under the tank. I originally planned to connect the 2 systems together. I may go back to that.

the 75 is still running. It isn't even dirty after taking the rock out. I turned the light on and saw this

I guess I am doing it wrong. I started filling this tank 7-20-19 so it is 6 weeks old. It now has 20 fish in it. None where QTed. Of the new ones 6 are from LA and 4 from a LFS.

I did about 8 ammonia tests and 2 nitrate tests in that time. It has 3 kinds of salt in it.

Perhaps I should release them in the creek down the hill and let them make their way back to the ocean. I am sure it would be a big adventure just like a Disney movie.
For the young people. That is a joke. Humor is something us old people do. When we die it will go away.

All goes well. I ordered 7 more fish today. 3 anthias and 4 more green chromis. The blue and green chromis are schooling together at times and it is nice to watch. I will have 12.

Louie is tasting Zoe and she doesnt like it.

Took the tanks outside and cleaned them and painted the stand.

I will put another coat on the outside tomorrow.

The 75 gallon stand has been painted. It has to dry 72 hours. I need to order an overflow and drill it. There don't seem to be many options out there. Then I will replumb it to join it all into one system.

I have ordered the Ozoteck ozone kit and am going to add that to the system.

I need to clean it up today. That new tank stage where stuff grows on the glass every day. I haven't cleaned it in 3 days and you cant see inside the tank. I guess the fish are still in there.

I was going to unbox the doser. I guess I will wait. So far I have done 2 water changes of about 60 gallons
each in 7 weeks

Brown stuff is almost gone so I turned the flow down.

100s of posts a day about water parameters.
This tank is running in the same water as the big tank. Same rocks and sand. It's other things that make the difference. Flow and light.
It has a clean up crew in it and a conch.
Time to clean it up. The macro is growing and there are some crabs from the live rock in it.
The fish ate all the macro in the big tank.
Some nasty smelling black algae is growing and I am removing it.
