XPAqua Sumpless ATO help!!

Hello I purchased the sumpless ATO system for my tank by XPAqua. Does anyone have this product that can provide guidance??? I installed it but now it will not automatically shut off. I had to unplug it to keep it from making my tank spill water over the rim. Anyone know why? Ive looked and looked and I cant find anything about the issue.

is it possible the sensor is covered or maybe try to restart it

Ive tried both, it floods every time. Been just plugging it in when l need to top off the water then unplugging it. Super aggravating. The sensor is this little blue thing.
