XR15 G5 direction

Just wanting to know what direction people mount their xr15’s on a 2ft deep tank. Do you mount them perpendicular (on/off button front) or parallel (on/off button side)?

Mine is also, but I just received a second light and it’s mounted 90 degrees to mine and it’s got me thinking now lol

They are square so it probably doesn't matter for spread.

I think I'm thinking G4 which is more square. In your pic, mounting will be Left too right OR power cord at rear to right side

So that means the LED’s will be running length ways not width ways?

Ok. I’m asking because I’m upgrading to a 3ft tank soon and I’m adding another light, and after I picked up the 2nd light today it was 90 degrees different to mine and it got me thinking which way is best.
