XR15 or XR30

What would be better for a 20x20x12 shallow mixed reef tank. The radion XR15 or The Xr30?

I would say the XR15. I am pretty sure the spread on it is 24inch. Plus it is cheaper... which is always nice.

XR15 does 24" x 24" spread and the XR30 does 30" x 30" so the XR15 should work for you.
