Just wondering what I should do about my yasha and pistol shrimp. They went in 2 weeks ago and were very active for a day or so. Since then they have gone into hiding. I've not seen the pistol shrimp for about a week and can't hear him snapping. The goby pops his head out every 3 days but only for a split second.
How do I know they are feeding? Will/have they just hidden until they waste away?
I want to give them time to adjust but if they are not eating then I don't want to leave them to starve. I don't even know if the pistol shrimp is still alive! I've not seen any burrows dug in over a week.
Only other inhabitants are 2 small clowns, Midas blenny, 3 hermits and 3 nassarius snails. Could they be scared of the hermits?
Any advice appreciated.

They are probably just busy renovating their new home, they are hard workers, but will come out when they are hungry. Just keep feeding the tank as you normally do so the fish can learn the habits, don't change the feeding routine.

I 100% agree with Mojo. Feed the tank about the same time.

I keep a log on when I see mine. Gone as long as 3 weeks before with out a sighting. One thing too, if you can find red led flash light you can use that to check on them at night without disturbing them.

I just wanted to follow up if you had a sighting yet. I saw my yasha today, and the last time was on the 15th of April as an example. They have several burrows, and I'm sure she can pop out on the back sides of some of my rockscape where I don't always see her.

Yes thanks, I had completely given up on him and then I came down the next morning as he was swimming around exploring!!
Now he's settled in nicely. Sadly the shrimp died somehow/somewhere which is why I think the goby went into hiding. But I got hold of a new candy cane pistol shrimp and they are happy together in one of my rocks. Still very reclusive but get to see them at least a few times a day.
