I have a yellow tNg that has some white dots and needs cleaning. However, he is ignoring my cleaner shrimp and keeps presenting himself to the same peppermint shrimp. The shrimp seems confused, and the tang is desperate. And suggestions? I'm going to loose this fish if it doesn't break up with its peppermint lover.

The relationship between cleaner shrimp and fish is cool, but if the white dots you're referring to are ich, then neither shrimp will be of much help.

I don't see you losing your tang because the cleaner shrimp won't clean him, if anything- it will succumb to whatever disease it has.

It was velvet, and everything died. I'm done with tangs. Every one I get gets parasites. I lost every fish I had.
