Great info; thank you @i cant think ! I still like my YWG even if he's a GWG; healthy and lots of personality and the blue spots are beautiful. I was able to find a pistol/snapping shrimp :)

That’s a beautiful Alpheus species. I paired mine with a “boring” Alpheus bellulus.

P.S. the photo was taken from my article on this genus and similar genera against the Valenciennea and similar genera.

Is that the tiger variety? Not boring at all imo. Beautiful patterns on those. Thank you for the ID and I'm definitely going to track down your article now!

Yours seems to be Alpheus bisincisus. I agree with bellulus not being boring, I just wish I saw mine more but my wrasses cause him to hide more so I never see him instead I just hear him.

I can still hear my pistol shrimp and I’m pretty sure I know where it is because I see sand that’s moved around under one of the rocks, but no - haven’t actually seen him for a week now.

I’m trying to get a Randall’s to pair with my Yasha and this shrimp is the most annoying to get out of the LFS. I have never struggled this much with a shrimp to get it out of the tank.
So for now this guy remains alone in the tank.
