In a few days I plan to introduce a Damsel to my tank, but I don't know which one will be better. I feel like it would be better to choose other species, but I'm from Mexico and here we have very limited species. I will make you the list of species that are in my LFS

Damsels:

Damsel Domino (Clearly not)

Chromis Damsel

Three-band damsel (Or is it 4 bands? I honestly have no idea)

Blue Damsel

Yellowtail Damselfish

Well, I also think there would be the option of a Chromis, but I honestly prefer the Yellowtail Damsel and the Blue Damsel.

Oh, I forgot to mention, the tank is 20 gallons (you can see it in my profile picture).

I look forward to your responses!

Take your pic, they are all equally as beautiful, and each one will claim that 20 gallon tank to themselves. You won't be able to add another fish once you add the damsel, so if you want other fish, get them first before the damsel.

If you want to add 2 damsels, then you should separate the tank in half. I did that with my 20 gallon, had a yellow tail and an azure, I added a tank divider for about 3 months, after that they each stayed on their own side of the tank.

It would be a good idea to divide the tank, but the problem is that it is full of rock and there would be no space.

Just be aware, if you're talking about the Blue Velvet Damsel, they will lose those really cool (almost) fluorescent stripes when they mature. I was unpleasantly surprised when it happened to me.

No no, I'm talking about Chrysiptera Cyanea, only here in Mexico they call them Blue Damsel, so I have no idea what they call them there. And about the Blue Velvet Damsel, that's exactly why I will NEVER buy them, as they will probably become quite aggressive and large. Anyway, I even like the adult Blue Velvet Damsels, of course, they will be very different, but I still like them.
