Fish are friends ;SmuggrinI said once here, I'll say it again.
You know your obsessed when..... you no longer speak to your wife, instead, you speak to your tank. Hahaha
That's me currently ;Greedywhen you have a perfectly fine 120g DD with a DIY 75g sump and all the equipment you could ever need, and some. And you are constantly scouring facebook marketplace for tanks, equipment, etc. so that you can spend every extra cent on things that you don't need! hahaha
Not according to her..... as stated wearing $300 UGG boots and $100 yoga pants while sipping an $11 dollar coffee!!!Must be a nice coral
and not a quick peak either, this is a perfect time to get the UV flashlight and look for coral criminals and then spend the next hour or two dipping perfectly fine corals. When you wake up at mid-night to go to the bathroom and you have to pass by the tank to make sure everything is good.
Or when kid #2 is on the way and wife evicts your tank from the spare bedroom so you convert this into this!!!When you run out of room to expand and buy a portable building and move it into the backyard. Wire it up, plumb it, and ad AC and heat! Almost done but am at about $12k right now!
Absolutely, I like the way you think.Or when kid #2 is on the way and wife evicts your tank from the spare bedroom so you covert this into this!!!

Only 8x16, but I got the old building for free so I can’t complain too much. Eventually I’m wanting to build a separate building on something like 20x20 slab. How large is that room?
Mine is 12x20 but I’ll have to share some of it for my wife’s hydroponic hobby.Only 8x16, but I got the old building for free so I can’t complain too much. Eventually I’m wanting to build a separate building on something like 20x20 slab.

Did all the work myself and used all the scrap materials I had on hand. If I had to guess total refurb cost me around 3,500. Not sure where you’re located but heat and humidity my biggest issues by far. A dehumidifier is an absolute necessity.Mine is 12x20 but I’ll have to share some of it for my wife’s hydroponic hobby.
Can’t beat free. How much did that free building cost you in the end?
