What you have is a Melanurus wrasse, not a Vrolik's wrasse
I might have to check out the Vrolik's wrasse. Are either of these a reasonably good consideration for a 90-gallon mixed reef? I would like one, but I have read some potential concerns in a mixed reef, especially if they reach sizes of 7-9 inches (I looked into Melanurus, but did not know of Vrolik's wrasse until now).

Melanurus will not reach 7-9 inches in our tank. IMO, a huge one in our tank is 4 inches.
Vrolik wrasse may reach 1/2 inches longer.

That is what I like to hear, since I would really like a Melanurus wrasse but do not want it to eat my small fish. If it only reaches 4 inches in my tank, it probably will not be eating my other fish (smallest in plans right now are neon or shark-nosed gobies). I still need to research the Vrolik wrasse.

Favorite? Hard to say. I love watching my purple tang. It's got a special place in my heart. However, my white tail bristletooth eats straight from my hand and grazes on my fingers when I feed. Such an amazing feeling when your ocean pet feels comfortable enough to do that.

How are you getting on with that butterfly and angel in a reef?
Pretty good. The angel is perfectly fine with corals, the butterfly picks everything but doesnt do any harm, if anything im the reason corals look unhappy cause im lazy on that side at times lol.

Not any one specific fish, but Wrasses in general are my favorite. Color, Activity, Personality. That and there is a Wrasse that fits just about any tank setup.
