If I put some zoas and a kenya tree on their own rock island, will my zoa garden with a tree work out? Or will one likely smother out the other? I run activated charcoal so I'm not worried about chemical warfare if there's gonna be any.

The Kenya may shade out some zoas as it grows.

Kenya will also populate the rest of the tank from dropping buds. They are like how everyone that hate xenia spread, but they do it long range. I thought I was on top of keeping it secluded netting out the buds and attaching them to rocks with rubber bands in a cage. Nope missed some that got swept under the rocks and grew into the light. When I upgraded tanks I found some stretching from the bottom of the tank in the dark to get light where I couldnt see them.
