Zoanthid polyps molding together?

For some odd reason these two polyps are molding together. I see other polyps attaching to the rock. I have had it for at least a month now. All parameters in check. I closed up the polyps so it can be seen better, pretty much the whole stalk is forming to the other stalk. It has been happening for awhile now. A bit of GHA, and some cyano not alot though.

I think it is normal binding/adhering to whatever happens to be next to them and not a true syncytium.
 
It often happens with fast growing plays. Pretty much anything their stalk touches they can attach to in this case it just happens to be another stalk. They will remain seperate stalks though just attached.
