Custom Anemone Tank Build

For those of you who don't know, I had a little misfortune: Cosmo's 75G
(please enjoy the first few pictures BEFORE YOU LOOK AT THE LAST TWO!!!)

Needless to say, I was a little defeated, but now I'm getting back on the horse.

I'm starting with an anemone/clownfish tank. 24x24x18:

The sand I got looks very fine, so I hope that doesn't cause any problems going forward.

I decided to do some very modest aquascaping. I was bad, and forgot to take pictures before the water was going in...

Mmmmmm, nice brown water. Here is a side shot with an MP40W.

And, last, but not least, with the Metal Halides on.

There is still a ton of junk in there, but hopefully it will clear up by tomorrow morning and I'll add some new photos.

I know my fiance and I want some Grade A Picassos, they're pretty cool looking.

If you can score one of those 'rainbow' anemones, those are pretty cool too.

Should do a bta tank. Not sure how many you want to have but there are many different colors. I want to do something similar in a larger tank and have one of each of these;
rbta, gbta, flame tip, rainbow, chocolate and gold...all bubble tips

That is exactly what it is going to be. All rbtas. I forgot to post that. I'm going to keep looking around for some clown choices. I need to go take an updated picture.

It would be nice to add a few different types of clowns. I dont know what the long term success would be but you have to admit it looks cool. I dont know if the nems be a refuge for the clowns or a reason to fight...

Love the tank who made it? Looks acrylic or is it glass? Will be awsome setup. Perfect size for a nano.

Adding different types of clowns can be risky, however you could do a combination of same species, ie;
Picasso, True Perc, Onyx
Snow Flake, False Perc, Black Oscillaris
I would go for the second 3 as Oscillaris have shown greater propensity for tank unity than true perc family. You should also add a couple of Bangaii Cardinals as they love anenomes as well.

What you should do is..Mated pair of Black Oscillaris, mated pair of False Percs, mated Pair of Bangaii Cardinals.
What would look awesome, but would be more risky because of aggression would be..Mated pair of Grade A Picassos, Mated Pair of Rods Onyx Clowns, Mated pair of Bangii Cardinals.
Either way add all of the clowns at once after you add the bangaiis

I would be concerned that your Vortech is going to act like a blender in that tank. Are you going to keep it covered?

This being a small tank, I might not push it. I already have two Bangaii Cardinals, so a combination including them could be fun. The tank was built locally (ohio).

I'm not going to who, because I don't name names, but "someone" forgot to charge the battery for their camera last night, so it's being charged now. I will post some more pictures here, as well as my blog later on. I'm keeping the blog separate from the building threads because it's easier to follow the progression there.

I've considered doing 2 mp10's instead, but I had this one laying around, so I figured I'd start with it. Clearly, it can not be turned way up, or a nice sandstorm occurs.

I had a nice big anemone in my tank. For over a year it stayed
put, then one day it up and wantered, I came home to find it
went through one of my Tunze pumps. :(

I'm sorry for your lose, and hopefully my nems won't venture near the vortech :)

Alright, so I woke up this morning and the tank had cleared out. One side effect of adding the sand is that my skimmer pumps stopped working. They were pushing water but making very large bubbles. I took them apart and washed them, but that didn't help. I am now running them through a water/viniger solution to see that helps.

I will fire the light on the tank either tomorrow or the next day, along with adding livestock. Let me know what you think.

I'm also considering different clownfish species at the moment. Feel free to voice your opinion

What did you think of the combos I suggested?
