Do btas need a decent amount of nitrates because all the information I’ve seen talk about lighting, feeding, and flow. They also recommend keeping low nutrients to keep them healthy but nothing specific. i had my tank for 10 months and my parameters are
0-2 Nitrates
0.02-0.04 phosphate
alk 7.4(...
I bought some really nice BTA from a guy breaking down his tank, I’m trying to find out what kind they are, they are a deep red like black widows but instead of white lines it’s like a fluorescent green lines and some have full green mouths as you will see in the pics
Selling off my TSA black widow BTA.
~ 6-7” across when expanded.
The nem was getting huge and was actively killing my corals.
PICK UP ONLY AT HAMPTON NH 03842
So here is the thing, I got 3 tiny BTAs from a friend when he was leaving the hobby. From 3 they multiplied to 30-40 and took over a 1.5ft sized rock. I feed them frozen shrimps once in a month, I tried increasing the feeding frequency but they generally expel the excess food. It’s 2 year old...
Good afternoon!
I’d like to hear your opinion about my anemone. It has been living in my tank for two months and hasn’t moved from its spot.
My aquarium is a Biocube 14 with the light settings at 65% white and 95% blue.
Overall, everything seems great — it stays in the same place and looks...
Hello R2R Community!
My RBTA colony has created too many anemones so I am here to try and sell some of these dupes.
I have attached a photo of the mother colony. I have also attached a photo of the most recent addition that I have separate from the rest which is for sale. It is WYSIWYG. The...
Selling my main rock out of my clown harem tank. The rock that the anemones are on is 15L X 11W X 13H. The rock is awesome and has multiple swim throughs and crevices and has been in my tank for 5 years.
There is approximately 20 Rainbow BTA’s on it. Some are WWC HI-C anemones, and other...

Idk how else to explain the anemone. If you look in my build thread, you can see what it used to look like, versus now:
It’s all small and weird looking. Any ideas on what’s wrong? For reference, I have two other BTAs that are perfectly fine and then seven baby BTAs in a quarantine box in the...
For a while now my black widow bta has been on the back of my rock structure, right beside the overflow in the left corner but near the bottom of the tank. My clowns haven’t really done anything with it, I’ve just been giving them time to figure it out. Yesterday I turned the flow on both my...
Looking to sell this guy that I randomly found a chance to pulled off the rock work split about a year ago. Originally from TSA. I can show the receipt if you DM me.
Just want to share a BTA I just purchased. LFS told me it was from the wild so I don’t have a crazy name for it. Right away I was drown to its vibrant yellow tips. Picture doesn't give justice to it.

Hello!
Last Friday I bought a 3” BTA from my local LFS. He’d been doing awesome! Until last night I was watching my tank and he came unattached from the rock work and started floating around the tank. I grabbed him and helped him latch on to his usual spot, but I noticed it did take longer for...
I got this green bubble top anemone from Petco 2 weeks ago. At the time it had small green stubby tips. Under actinic light it would have a mid fluorescent green color with stubby non bubbly tips. Sometimes would go skinny on the tentacles but inflate. It split after the first week and then sat...
I have 5 BTAs which are a pain so I'd rather swap them out for some corals in my LFS. The problem is that they are very hard to get out, and I can't put the rock in a bucket or something similar because it is the main rock in the tank and it is really big. I've read that if you put ice on their...

Hello all, Currently running a fluval EVO 5 gallon with the 22W fluval sea light. I have 2 clownfish and a few invertebrates that seem happy. Most recent parameters from a Spin test at the local shop, attached imaging. Since then a 25% change has been done. I recently purchased a bubble tip...
Has anyone ever kept macroalgae with anemones? Does one kill the other or do they do okay together? I have some red grape bubble algae that I want to put next to my BTA but not sure if it’s too risky or not.
Hi guys,
I went to LFS earlier this week and while talking with the manager he offered me two of those bta for 10$ and I was wondering if someone would be able to ID what sort it is? I was thinking rainbow or sunburst?
Thanks in advance!
I came across this anemone that I was looking to get, and I thought it might look bleached? The worker at the LFS said it was just the color or the nem. I didn’t want to take any chances and try to revive it but what you y’all think?
I've had it in my tank since January. I have a standard rainbow BTA but this is something else, with more orange and yellow coloration along with some green on the tips.
