How can i make these shells suitable for my reef?

So i went to the beach the other day and when i was there i picked up some shells that caught my eye. Some with barnacles on, some are muscle shells, other mollusk shells and also parts of a crab carcass. (shown in picture) Is there anything i must do to be able to add them to my tank?

I’ve been collecting Zoa with my bf for a while now. Happen to stumble across a bunch of weird ones, possibly the first in the hobby? I don’t know, I’ll just show off these two for now!

    Wild Copepods

For those living on the California coast, have you ever caught any wild Tigriopus Californicus to feed to your tank? I was exploring the tide pools between Malibu and Ventura and saw pools with hundreds of thousands of orange pods. It’s pretty tempting right now to try going back to see if I can...

Where do our coral come from?

At this point in the hobby it seems as though everyone is constantly growing, fragging, and trading their corals. I wonder if anyone has any idea how this impacts the harvesting of wild coral for the hobby? Such as what percentage of hobbyist corals comes from the ocean nowadays and if this...

    Wild nem va Aquacultured nem

I just picked up a BTA from my LFS, and I was planning on finding a Black Widow BTA to go into the same tank eventually. Is this rare? If so, How rare is it?

I recently (Tuesday) received an about 4-5" volitan lionfish. He is in my 45 gallon QT tank right now, and I have a feeder fish (freshwater molly) that had somehow survived my last batch of fish and was living in the QT tank. The lionfish ate the molly on the first day I had him, and then today...
