I use Calcium Carbonate. It sure does seem to help clarify the water.

I have a dumb astraea snail that is the spreader. Is that asking too much for him to go for a dip too?

Don't dip a snail. Scrub the shell with the peroxide, let it sit for a minute or two and then rinse the snail off. It may not completely kill it but it will hold it in check for a couple of weeks. Repeat as needed.

Did you read the part about mixing micrbactor 7 to fight cyano? Im not keen on using chemiclean, so might try this

Mine would eat tires if I threw them in the tank. It loves frozen mysis--any brand, TDO and Fauna Marin Soft Spirunina. A nori sheet lasts about 30 minutes.

They are a bit 'skittish' in general but good hardy fish and if they are hungry enough they will go after bubble algae. Only problem I ever had with mine is he speared a BlackRay Gobie on one of his darts-of-death. BlackRay didn't even last a day.

Wasn’t big but unexpected here. I used to live in CA so know what it’s like but you just don’t expect it here. 6 years ago when it was -20+ for two weeks we kept having frost quakes. Kept hearing big bangs and felt like the house got hit with something.

We have had a few small ones but they always seem to be at night when I'm sound asleep and I just slept through them. I think 2.4 was the biggest.
