I love the green clown goby and it's at the top of my very short list. So I think I will go with one of them and 5 sexy shrimp, 2 hermit crabs, 2 nassarius, 2 nerite, 3 or 4 Dwarf Ceriths, 2 Florida ceriths. Does that sound ok or too much or not enough? Lol

I'd get a couple of blue leg hermits (5-10) and a Scarlet Reef Hermit (the bright red ones) and possibly a Halloween Hermit for the color.

Florida Ceriths are good, I usually do 5 or 6 in my smaller tanks.

5 Sexy Shrimps might be a lot for a 6 gallon but I have no clue. They stay small.

They are incredibly small, I had three for a few weeks that hung out around or on my rfas and I think 5 would be fine in my experience.

I have 2 blue leg hermits I was afraid to do more as I don't want them to get hungry and go after my snails. I was thinking 5 sexy shrimp because they are tiny and I have 5 RFAs so one for each to host. I may add more cuc members as the tank matures more. Oh I almost forgot I also have 3 Astraea Snails in there.

Good morning Smorgsters! We had a jail break last night. There is a hole at the top of the acclimation box I use to feed and it is at the water level. I would have never thought the shrimp would leave the water, walk across the top of the acclimation box and do a cannon ball into the water. I’m suspicious he had some assistance because I found a tiny nail file on the sandbed under the box. I’m going to keep an eye on him for an hour or two and then release his better behaved friend before I leave for work.

Anyone got suggestions on a fish that would be ok in my pico? I have read/ watched videos that said tailspot blenny, clown goby, and firefish as well as others I can't remember but wanted to see if you guys had other suggestions.

I would look at the 'nano' (a fairly new term for a lot of very small gobies from several genera) gobies. They are fairly active gobies but stay very small and are generally none aggressive. Biota is captive breeding five or six different species now. I'd check their site and see if you like any of them. I agree with @tbrown on his recommendations. I would also go with dwarf ceriths and maybe add dwarf trochus (although most of mine were not particularly long-lived). A clown goby can work but they can irritate some corals and sometimes snack on SPS. You basically want very small active fish or relatively small 'perchers' in that small a tank,

--edit-- I just caught up I think @tbrown hit a grand slam with his recommendations. Only thing I'd change is I prefer the Black Ray Goby to the Yasha, and it's generally less expensive and stays smaller, but stay with the Randalli's Pistol Shrimp, by far the best of the best in pistol shrimp.
