Found this in the blueberry house. I guess it’s on tomorrow’s menu since I forgot this morning. Time zone keeps changing on my phone.

Can’t say I’ve had one from a cast iron but I’ve seen it done on the food network and the searing keeps the juices in. I’d eat a ribeye that was cooked on Tim’s driveway without hesitation.

While I agree with Kevin, if I was pressed into a decision I'd give the edge to cast iron simply because of the sear and rendering of the fat. Again, I love them both.

It was another busy weekend at the Rock household. Had the new back patio poured on Saturday. Did house/yard work on Sunday and was able to work on the stand as well.

My male husky would think of it as his personal water trough... so, unfortunately that's out of the question unless I fence it off somehow.

My wife always wanted a husky because they are shed free.

Cast iron all the way. If someone knows how to cook steak in a cast iron, they’re going to do it well. Can’t say the same about a grill, as that’s most peoples go to. Just Chuck it on and have the flames char it black and overcooked lol

All you posers arguing over what sauce belongs on BBQ... If you cook it right it doesn't need any sauce! I'm calling in the big guns here: @Kingsley_Reef dry rub and/or marinade then a trip to the smoker right????

One way to really mess up a steak is too over cook it! I like mine medium to medium rare.

Good morning brother! Yes, @Kingsley_Reef knows BBQ. You do a good job too Tim... and Paul... Kevin.... Luis. I feel left out of this. I need to learn how to use my Traeger smoker.

Just use a real wood fire in an old school barrel smoker like a real man. None of this electric, compressed pelet garbage. At that point you're just using an outdoor microwave.

I’ve got grilling steak to a perfect medium rare. It’s timed based on thickness and when you flip it the side that was facing up gets two minutes less. When I was sick I didn’t eat solid foods for over a year and I binged the food network. I believe I learned it there.

I rarely cook with sauce I add it after based on what I’m in the mood for or what I’m trying to create but 90% of my bbq is plain and simple use a binder typically mustard then rub with salt and pepper straight to smoker

Now if I’m doing something i really want some complex flavors and have a crowd to please or show off too I have a lot of different sauces marinades and binders and rubs I like to use
